General Iconic Book of Records Rules:
- The Iconic Book of Records does not support or accept any endeavors or records that could result in the destruction of property, harm to people’s health, or impair the general welfare of a person, group, or society.
- The Iconic Book of Records team will make the final and exclusive determination of whether to approve or disapprove of any attempt and certification.
- We accept record attempt claims and registrations online, but the record attempter must send all necessary documentation to the Iconic Book of Records office address in order to complete the certification process.
- The record approval and certification process may take 1-10 weeks, depending on the type of recognition.
- Each witness should correctly sign each document.
- At least two witnesses must be present when the record attempt is made.
- All evidence proof should be sent with witness information.
- Iconic Book of Records team members are not required to be present when attempting a record, but it is important to have an adjudicator and witnesses present to ensure the authenticity of the record.
Claiming Record:
- Record claiming materials should be sent to Iconic Book of Records’ continental office with the Claim ID, Applicant’s Name, Address, and Contact Information clearly noted.
- We accept online record attempts and claims, but in order to complete the certification process, the attempter must mail or deliver a duly completed Record Application Form/Record Claim Form, photographs pertinent to the record, a video of the attempt, and media coverage (if available) to the Iconic Book of Records office address.
- Any CD or DVD used as evidence must include the name, address, and phone number of the person who attempted the recording.
- When attempting the record, at least two witnesses must be present.
- The claim documents should be accompanied by a complete list of all witnesses.
- Each witness should correctly sign each document.
- Claimed Approval and certification of records could take 30 to 45 days.
- The record claim may be rejected if any required documents are not produced.
- The materials and documents submitted to Iconic Book of Records are intended to become its property, and Iconic Book of Records is not obligated to return any claim materials or documents to the attempter.
- Following the successful conclusion of the claim verification process, the claim will be accepted and approved.
- Only after the attempt verification process has been fully completed will approval and certification be published.
- Iconic Book of Records team must be notified one month before the date of the record attempt in order to send an RMJ (adjudicator) to the attempt location.
- The record attempter individual/organization or sponsor/s, if any, are responsible for the RMJ’s travel and lodging.
- If the record attempt is successful, the RMJ (adjudicator) may, subject to full satisfaction, grant certification immediately. For on-the-spot certification efforts, clearance will only be granted if the RMJ is satisfied (adjudicator).
Evidence necessary:
- Letter of Cover (Fill in all the information about your attempted record).
- Capture participant information, including photos and signatures.
- Every witness’s complete information, including their photos and signatures
- Video Material.
